About us
Twin V is a creative solutions company. Legend has it that English archers used to taunt their opponents using their index and middle fingers in the now famous V-shaped salute. We’ve got a feeling their clever tactics didn’t sit well with their opponents who preferred the old, outdated way of doing things.
At Twin V we love good stories, and we love finding new ways of telling them with our core team and a tremendous network of collaborators.
Who We Are
Alexander Milas
is a former archaeologist, Kerrang! journalist, and award-winning editor-in-chief of Metal Hammer magazine, an international brand working across print, digital and event spaces. In his spare time he heads up the Heavy Metal Truants, a cycling charity which he co-founded with Iron Maiden manager Rod Smallwood, raising money for Teenage Cancer Trust, Childline, Nordoff Robbins and Save the Children.
Alex Burrows
is a former punk rock zine publisher, comics scriptwriter, and Business Operations Manager specialising in large scale project management and IP. He has worked in print and digital magazine publishing for 20 years across a wide variety of titles including Cycling Plus, Total Film, T3, The Quietus, Metal Hammer and Classic Rock.
James Hursthouse
is a tech entrepreneur with 20 years experience in content development (including Iron Maiden: Legacy of the Beast) and infrastructure, as well as recent innovations in blockchain, mixed reality and artificial intelligence. He is a proud Heavy Metal Truant, having participated every year for the last six years.
